The Rev. Dr. Alfred Jones, Jr. was born in the city of Ruther Glen, Virginia to the late Deaconess Isaline Jones and the late Deacon Alfred Jones, Sr. He also attended the public schools in Caroline County and accepted Christ as his personal Savior at an early age. He joined Mt. Oni Baptist Church, Ruther Glen, Virginia, and remained a faithful member until God called him to the gospel ministry. He is married to Deaconess Goldie Jones, and God has blessed them with six children. His formal education is very diverse in view of the fact that it includes the Washington Bible College, Washington Baptist Seminary, and Virginia Union University School of Theology. Pastor Jones served as pastor for several churches before he was called to Mount Zion Baptist Church in Triangle, Virginia. He has served as Pastor faithfully for 33 years at Mount Zion Baptist Church. He serves as Chaplain for the Prince William County Police Department. He has served as Co-President of the Eastern Prince William Ministerial Association, and Chairman of the Northern Virginia Commission on Evangelism. Pastor Jones is a Gospel Preacher and loves to do the work of the Lord.
