All Mt Zion Church Members should mark your calendars and plan to be in attendance of our next Church Business Meeting, scheduled for Monday, August 30th 2010 at 7:30pm. Pastor is asking that all members to make every effort to be in attendance of this meeting.
The Back to School Explosion
Ready for School? Are you armed with the tools to begin a brand new school year? Do you know what you have with-in you? Come One, Come All to the Back to School Youth Explosion 2010!!!! August 28th at 4pm. "Unleashing the King and Queen within" But you belong to God, my dear children. You have already won a victory over those people, because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world. 1 John 4:4. Worshipping, singing, dancing, etc. You Name it, just so we can unleash the power that is within. Don't meet us there, but beat us there!! August 28th at 4pm!!
5th Sunday Service Reminder
Pastor Jones wants to remind each member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church that we have adjusted our schedule and will hold only 1 Sunday Service at 10 am on 5th Sunday. Sunday School on 5th Sunday will begin at 8:45am.
Please note the following dates on your calendars. There are two 5th Sunday’s remaining in 2010: August 29th and October 31st. The dates for 2011 are as follows: Jan 30th, May 29th, July 31st, & Oct 30th
Homecoming
Sunday, September 12, 2010 at 3:00pm we will begin celebrating our Annual Homecoming & Revival Services. The Revival Service will begin on Monday, September 13th – Thursday, September 16th the Guest Evangelist is Dr. A. Lincoln James Jr. of Trinity Baptist Church, Richmond, VA.
Homecoming Menu
Members: Just a friendly reminder, don’t forget to sign up and bring a dish to complete our Homecoming menu. You will find the menu lists posted near the Elevators on the Administrative side of the building and also you will find them in the Multi-Purpose Room near the kitchen entrance. Hurry up and sign up because we’re always looking forward to the dish that you’re planning to bring for Homecoming. The deadline to do so is Sunday, September 5, 2010.
Men's Choir Annoucement
Attention: All Men's Choir members. The clothing vendor (Better Menswear of Richmond) has worked out arrangements to return to MZBC for the next 2 or3 Sundays. If you are in town and available on the dates of the 1st & 8th of August please stop by the choir room (room 117) between 9:00 am and 10:30 am to get sized and fitted for your pants. The game plan and final phase of this process will be to have the final delivery of goods with full payment due on the 3rd Sunday, August 15, 2010.
